Saskatchewan builders are being asked to weigh in on an important issue shaping how homes are built in our province. As higher performance energy code requirements continue to evolve, it’s critical that the real-world experience of builders is part of the conversation.

This survey, led by the Saskatoon & Region Home Builders’ Association (SRHBA) through the Energy Code Concierge initiative, is gathering input from builders across Saskatchewan to understand the practical challenges, costs, and opportunities associated with Tier 2 and Tier 3 of the 2020 National Building Code for Part 9 homes.

Your feedback will directly inform industry advocacy, technical resources, and evidence-based discussions with municipalities and policymakers.

If builders don’t speak up, decisions will be made without the full picture of what it takes to build in Saskatchewan. This is your opportunity to help ensure future requirements reflect practical solutions that reflect how homes are actually built in our province.

All responses are confidential and reported in aggregate only.

If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Nick Sackville, Code Concierge Project Manager at caf@saskatoonhomebuilders.com.
